Mesut Ozil watches match against Stoke from his sofa as 'slight foot injury' rules him out of Clash

Injury ruled Mesut Ozil out of Arsenal’s clash against Stoke City on Sunday – but the German was still cheering on his side as he watched from the comfort of his sofa.
A slight foot injury meant Ozil did not travel to the Britannia Stadium with his fellow team-mates, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain the man chosen to replace him.
Ozil may not have been there in body, but he was certainly there in spirit.

German attacking midfielder Ozil took to Twitter during the clash, writing: ‘Watching the match vs. Stoke. Hopefully I’ll be back well for the next match. But for now: Come on you Gunners.'
Arsenal had earlier confirmed Ozil's injury but a time-scale is yet to be put on his return with a tough trip to Chelsea next up on the north London side's fixture list.
Ozil has been in fine form this season, ranking as the Premier League's highest assist-maker with 16 and being widely regarded as a front-runner for the player of the year awards.

Arsenal were also without another key man in Alexis Sanchez on Sunday, with the Chile forward, sidelined by a hamstring problem.
Sanchez has not featured for title-chasing Arsenal since November, but there was a space on the bench for new signing Mohamed Elneny.
Elneny, 23, completed his medical last week and was unveiled by the club on Thursday after gaining international clearance for the move from Switzerland.
