Kaka Scores 1, Sets Up 2 in Orlando City's 4-1 MLS Win over Portland Timbers

The Brazilian made his Major League Soccer season debut Sunday night as Orlando thrashed defending championsPortland Timbers at the Citrus Bowl in Florida.

The ex-AC Milan and Real Madrid midfielder delivered a cross for SebHines to head home to put the hosts in front after 13 minutes.

Shortly after the half-hour mark, the 33-year-old exchanged passes with Brek Shea, who fired an unstoppable shot to double the advantage.

And Kaka put the game out of Portland's reach early in the second half with a goal of his own:

A Kevin Molino spot-kick made it 4-0 before Jack McInerney scored a consolation goal in the 89th minute.
After four games, the undefeated Orlando leads MLS's Eastern Conference, while Portland has yet to kick into gear, sitting ninth in the West.

Barcelona Transfer News: Neymar's Agent Talks PSG 'Dream' Amid Huge Exit Rumours

Barcelona star Neymar is once again being linked with a move to Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain, as Les Parisiens are reportedly willing to trigger his massive buyout clause, and his agent has admitted representing the club would be “a dream for all players.”
According to French daily L'Equipe (h/t French football journalist Jonathan Johnson), the €193 million fee it would take to bring Neymar to Paris wouldn't be an issue:

The Brazil international has been linked with a move to PSG before―L'Equipe (h/t Daily Mirror's Ed Malyon) previously reported he will be the club's top transfer target during the upcoming summer transfer window.
But the agent's admission the move would be possible and something Neymar could be open to will surely put the rumour mill into overdrive.
Per Sky Sports' Guillem Balague, Neymar has also been linked with a move to Manchester United, and Barcelona's ongoing struggles with financial fair play regulations explain why the 24-year-old has so far kept the door to a move open:
Barcelona cannot afford to give new contracts to Lionel Messi, [Luis] Suarez and Neymar as it stands - financially they do not have the power to do so. They need to bring a lot of money in, if they do that they will be able to keep them, but if they don't they may have to get rid of one. That's why Neymar keeps leaving the door open for United and others.
Neymar continues to impress on an almost weekly basis for the Blaugrana and has already scored a remarkable 21 goals and added 10 assists in La Liga this season, per WhoScored.com. He's easily one of the club's most important players on the pitch, and as a superstar in his native Brazil, he's marketable off it.
In Catalonia, he's part of an exceptionally talented group of attackers, and he terrorises defences every week alongside Lionel Messi andLuis Suarez. As the youngest member of that group, he's likely the one player Barcelona want to keep hold off.
But the transfer speculation won't go away, and there are a number of reasons for that. Speaking to Cadena Ser (h/t Sky Sports), Neymar's father admitted back in November his son could leave Barcelona, as contract negotiations were being held up by persistent legal issues involving a tax evasion case.
Sport Witness said this latest story emerging from France is about more than Neymar wanting an improved deal:

According to Ribeiro (h/t Sport Witness), Barcelona only want Neymar to play in one major international tournament this summer, while the Brazilian is desperate to appear in both the Summer Olympics and the Copa America, yet another reason why he could be tempted to join PSG.
Because Neymar has a buyout clause, Barcelona would be powerless to stop him leaving once a club triggered it and convinced the player a transfer would be the right move.
Here's a look at the player PSG would be signing if that were to happen:

Until now, a move never seemed likely, as Neymar looked committed to the Barcelona project and continued to shine alongside Messi and Suarez. But the comments from his agent have opened the door for a major move as early as this summer, and other clubs, including Manchester United, will have taken note.
Expect Barcelona to do everything possible to keep Neymar at the club, starting with an improved contract. But their current issues with financial fair play mean they might not be able to offer what PSG would put on the table during the summer, and the reported fee of €193 million would go a long way toward helping them out in that department.

El Clasico: Lionel Messi's nephew plays for Barcelona under-16s... aged just EIGHT

BARCELONA icon Lionel Messi could soon have competition from his own flesh and blood - as eight-year-old nephew Agustin already plays for the club.

And the Argentine wonderkid - son of Lionel's oldest bro Rodrigo - is one-up even now, signing for the Catalan giants a whopping SEVEN years before his uncle.
Agustin joined FCB Escola - the school that comes before La Masia's famed academy - in September 2014, aged just six.
Five-time Ballon d'Or winner Messi made the move from Argentina to Spain aged 13, after a deal to Arsenal collapsed.
Each club there is named after a Nou Camp legend - but Agustin played for Adriano, not Team Messi.
And, according to respected transfer site Transfermarkt, mini-Messi has already made the move to Barcelona Cadete A.
That sees the right-footed striker play alongside kids as old as 16.
His talent is such that he is the youngest in the 25-boy squad by seven years - a squad usually reserved for those aged 14-15.
But it is unlikely to faze him given his family's footballing talent - and the fact he poses with his uncle, regarded by many as the greatest to ever play the game, for photos posted to his 40million Instagram followers.
He has even got his hands on the Copa Del Rey, smiling with Messi following Barca's win over Athletic Bilbao last season.
So it's unlike you'll forget, but just in case... Messi: Remember the name.

RUMOURS: Dunga's Brazil future hangs in the balance

The Brazilian Football Confederation will decide in a crisis meeting planned for next Tuesday whether the coach will remain in the post for this summer's Copa America and Olympics

Dunga's second spell as manager of the Brazil national team could be coming to an end, according to reports in Globo.

Dani Alves' last-gasp equaliser for the Selecao against Paraguay on Tuesday did little to quell discontent with the coach, who saw his team held to a draw against Uruguay just days earlier after surrendering a 2-0 lead.

The Brazilian Football Confederation plans to call Dunga and national team coordinator Gilmar to a crisis meeting next week, where it will apparently be decided whether or not he stays on for the Copa America and Olympic Games.

Van Gaal says: We have lots more to fight

1 Apr 2016 19:26:32

The Red Devils look to finish with a flourish as they get ready to pay tribute to Bobby Charlton before Sunday's game with Everton
Louis van Gaal insists Manchester United still have "a lot to fight for" as the Dutchman targets a top-three finish in the Premier League and FA Cup glory.

United are sixth in the table ahead of Sunday’s clash with Everton at Old Trafford, although they are only five points behind third-placed Arsenal with eight games remaining.
Van Gaal has seen his side win three of their last four league outings, including a 1-0 derby victory at Manchester City, before the international break.
The FA Cup is also a target, as United have a quarter-final replay against West Ham looming with the winners then moving on to face Everton in the last four.
Van Gaal told MUTV on Friday: "Still we are capable of being in the top three in the league at this moment and we believe in that, the players believe in that.
"We can also win the FA Cup, so we have a lot to fight for.
"I hope that we show it already in the first match [back against Everton] because that is the most important match as you have to continue what you have done against City."
United will use the league game against Everton to pay tribute to club legend Bobby Charlton, including renaming Old Trafford's South Stand after the 1968 European Cup winner.
Dutchman Van Gaal is delighted to see Charlton, someone he idolised when growing up, honoured in such an appropriate way.
"I had two idols in England, from watching the FA Cup finals. One of them was Jimmy Greaves and the other was Bobby Charlton, so I have known him already in my mind for a lot of years," he added.
"Now I have met him personally. He is such a kind, friendly man and his wife is also very nice and friendly.
"I am very proud that he should get such an honour [as his own stand] because not many clubs are doing that and I am very pleased for him."

REVEALED: Who does Sir Alex Ferguson rate as the best manager in the Premier League?

The legendary former Manchester United boss has told a prominent MP who he believes to be the best manager in England right now

Sir Alex Ferguson has told a leading MP that Tottenham’s Mauricio Pochettino is the best manager in the Premier League.
Pochettino has recently been linked with Louis van Gaal’s job at Manchester United, with many drawing comparisons between the Argentine’s style and the long-held philosophies of the Old Trafford club.
And his qualities have not gone unnoticed by the legendary former United boss, according to Member of Parliament for Tottenham, David Lammy.
The Labour MP told The Spurs Show podcast: “I’m going to let you into a secret. About six weeks ago I sat next to Sir Alex Ferguson at a dinner in support of grassroots football abroad.
“He said to me ‘I think you guys have got the best manager in the Premier League.’”
Ferguson’s words will come as another blow to Van Gaal, who has been forced to field a number of difficult questions relating to his future in recent weeks amid speculation former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho may be about to take his job.
United have continued to back Van Gaal privately despite the club’s recent slide down to fifth spot in the Premier League, but Mourinho and Pochettino are both thought to be in the frame should the Dutchman fail to get his side back on track between now and the end of the season.

Pochettino has led Tottenham to second place in the Premier League with just three defeats to their name this season, and has nurtured a number of young players who have since made a significant impact in the first team.

The 43-year-old earned a similar reputation in his 18-month stint at Southampton before moving to White Hart Lane in the summer of 2014.

The Barcelona coach does not expect the attacker's legal problems to have a negative impact on his strong form so far this season

By Stefan Coerts, Feb 2, 2016 10:56:00 AM

The Barcelona coach does not expect the attacker's legal problems to have a negative impact on his strong form so far this season.
Luis Enrique is confident the legal battle surrounding Neymar's transfer to Barcelona will not affect the Brazil international's performances ahead of the Copa del Rey tie at home to Valenciaon Wednesday.

The 23-year-old is due in court on Tuesday to testify in a case brought forward by Brazilian investment company DIS, which claims it suffered financial damages when Barca allegedly withheld the true value of the player's transfer in 2013.
Former president Sandro Rosell and his successor Josep Maria Bartomeu made an appearance in court on Monday.
Neymar said this week the case started bothering him once his family became involved, but his coach does not think the legal issues will have an impact on performances.
"Neymar is in a perfect state of mind," Luis Enrique said at a news conference. "I believe that on a scale of zero to one million, the whole case affects him 0.01 percent.
"This case is a recurring issue, it has been going on for a number of years now. The matter has nothing to do with football and it will all be resolved in the end."
Neymar has been in sublime form for Barcelona this campaign, netting 21 goals from 27 appearances in all competitions.

How Pep Guardiola will do at Man City: according to Football Manager

It's a move that has got the rest of the Premier League shuddering in fear/excitement: Pep Guardiola has been confirmed as the new manager of Man City. The man who brought tiki-taka to the world will come to England to replace Manuel Pellegrini this summer, taking charge at the Etihad for the 2016/17 season. But how will the all-conquering Barcelona and Bayern boss get on in the Premier League? Thanks to our pals at Football Manager - the closest thing you will ever get to the real-life game - we can now tell you. We asked them to run simulations of how City would get on with a variety of different top managers in charge.

You can see the other boss' results below. But first, here's how City did with theiractual new man in the hotseat…

In the simulation with Pep Guardiola as manager:

PREMIER LEAGUE: 1st
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: Semi-finals
City retain the Premier League, edging out Chelsea by four points.
The club reach the semi-finals of the Champions League before being beaten 3-1 by Real Madrid on aggregate.
City perform well in the domestic cups, reaching the final of the League Cup and the semi-finals of the FA Cup where they are beaten by Arsenal and Chelsea respectively.
Sergio Aguero, Yaya Toure and Jesus Navas all play key roles in City’s season. Aguero and Toure score 24 and 15 goals respectively while Navas thrives under Guardiola as he notches up 10 assists.
Guardiola’s first act of business is to bring in Dante for £22m to partner Kompany in the centre of defence.
It’s not all good news for the squad though as players such as Demichelis and Samir Nasri, considered first-team regulars under Pellegrini, are dropped by Guardiola.

Impressive. But even more impressive when you compare his results to those of City under some other big-name bosses they could have approached…

With Diego Simeone as manager:

PREMIER LEAGUE: 2nd
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: Last 16
City finish second, five points adrift of Chelsea after a dreadful run of form over the last few months of the season.
Simeone is sacked as manager at the end of the season.
The team are knocked out of the Champions League in the first knockout round after a 2-1 aggregate defeat to PSG.
City beat Leicester to win the League Cup but are knocked out in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup at the hands of West Ham.
Aguero finishes the season with 22 goals but Toure struggles under Simeone. Kompany is City’s best rated player at the end of the season with six Player of the Match awards.
Simeone’s transfer activity sees Fernando, Mangala and Clichy sold and Ricardo Rodriguez, William Carvalho and Atletico’s young talent Saúl brought in.

With Jurgen Klopp as manager:

PREMIER LEAGUE: 2nd
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: Semi-finals
City finish second, two points behind Chelsea but Klopp is spared the sack.
The team makes the semi-finals of the Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup but are beaten by Barcelona, Arsenal and QPR respectively.
Klopp is the manager who brings the best out of the squad as a whole with Dzeko, Kolarov and Fernandinho performing well alongside the usual suspects of Aguero and Toure.
Klopp’s only major signing is John Stones from Everton for a £15 million fee.
The German does choose to sell Mangala to Inter in January for a £13 million fee.

With Roberto Mancini as manager:

PREMIER LEAGUE: 3rd
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: Last 16
Mancini’s return to the Etihad is major disappointment as the club finish third, behind Chelsea and Arsenal.
Mancini is sacked as manager in April after it becomes apparent that City aren’t going to retain their title.
The team are knocked out in the first knockout round of the Champions League on away goals by Porto. Mancini takes the blame after fielding a weakened side in the second leg.
City are also knocked out early in the League Cup after their second string are seen off by Derby.
Their FA Cup campaign is one of the only positive’s under Mancini’s reign as he guides them to a semi-final spot before he is sacked.
Aguero, Toure and Nasri are the best performers over the course of the season with Aguero racking up 23 goals and 5 Player of the Match awards.
Mancini’s only major piece of transfer activity is his signing of Antonio Candreva for £15.5 million but the Italian fails to make an impact.

With David Moyes as manager:

(just to be mischievous)

PREMIER LEAGUE: 3rd
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: Quarter-finals
City end the season in 3rd place, but some eight points shy of table-topping Chelsea
Moyes is sacked at the end of the season.
He leads them to the Champions League quarter-finals, an FA Cup semi-final and a League Cup final in which they are beaten by Liverpool.
Moyes chooses to stick with the current squad and draws out good performances from Joe Hart and Pablo Zabaleta as well as the usual suspects of Aguero and Toure.
Moyes struggles in the big matches as he only picks up eight points against the top six and sees his side thrashed 4-0 by Chelsea.
Will Pep Guardiola win his first season as Man City manager?
Yes or No?
